How to run it

  1. Match the party theme

Dinosaur party, dinosaur books. Unicorn party, unicorn books. The theme weeks list three books for each subject.

  2. Mix ages

Tracing books for younger guests (3+), step-by-step drawing for older ones (5+).

  3. Add a pencil

A pencil tied to the book means kids can start in the car on the way home.

  4. Tie on a tag

Print the favor tags, write each guest’s name and tie one to every book.

Tip: Write each guest’s name on the tag before the party. It saves a scramble at the door.

Questions parents ask

Isn’t a book an expensive favor?

It can be. Some families share one book between siblings, or give books as prizes for party games instead of to every guest.
